Natural composition of tree species as a basis for model development of stumpage price

چکیده
Nacrtak Model development and use play a significant role in research and forest management of Slovenian forests. As co-natural and sustainable forest management is traditional, it is essential to rely on available knowledge of the composition of natural plant associations. This paper describes the need for stumpage price modelling, and the basic concept of developing models which can behave dynamically as forest structure approaches the final goal – tree composition close to nature. The main plant associations in Slovenia and their characteristic tree structure represent the so called model goal. Input data are taken from forest inventory base and are compared with the model goal. The difference between the model and true tree structure together with growth and other variables gives the intensity and structure of prescribed annual cut and consequently the value of wood assortments. The model produced several possible scenarios for the next decades, and this has already proved to be a good basis for decision making.

Economically optimal cutting cycle in a beech forest, Iranian Caspian Forests
The aim of this study was to determine the optimal cutting cycle in an uneven-aged beech forest in the North of Iran. First of all, a logistic growth model was determined for an uneven aged forest. Then, the stumpage price was predicted via an autoregressive model. The average stumpage price of beech was derived from actual timber, round wood, fire and pulpwood prices at road side minus the var...
متن کاملDecision making in forest management with consideration of stochastic prices
The optimal harvesting policy is calculated as a function of the entering stock, the price state, the harvesting cost, and the rate of interest in the capital market. In order to determine the optimal harvest schedule, the growth function and stumpage price process are estimated for the Swedish mixed species forests. The stumpage price is assumed to follow a stochastic Markov process. A stoch...
متن کاملPredicting the geographical distribution of Alopecurus textilis Boiss rangeland species on basis Consensus approach of climate change in Mazandaran province
The climate changes have an important role in distribution of plant species. Statistical species distribution models (SDMs) are widely used to predict the changes in species distribution under climate change scenarios. In the peresent study, the distribution of Alopecurus textilis in the current and future climate condition (2050) under the influence of climate change and two scenarios of RCP 4...
متن کاملNeutrality of the Regulated Price Shock on Price Indices When All Primary Factors’ Endowments Are Adjusted
The regulated price policy may be implemented for some products. It is generally implemented for some products such as electricity, natural gas, water and so on that are supplied as monopolist. The regulated price shock on these products may lead to an adjustment in the endowments of primary factors. The aim of this paper is to investigate the effects of a regulated price shock on price indices...
متن کاملEvaluation of Tree Marking in Persian Ironwood-hornbeam Stands at Bahramnia Forestry Plan and Its Effect on Stand Structure
Tree marking can cause changes in forest. This study aimed to assess tree marking operation and to predict its effect on stand structure of Persian ironwood-hornbeam stands at Bahramnia forestry plan, north of Iran. Therefore 98 trees that were marked in compartment 9 of the mentioned forest in 2017 based on selection system and according to the recent laws of Forests, Range and Watershed Manag...
